Just Batty!

Hello everyone! I have another Halloween card to share with you! This one is definitely unique and it comes with a short tutorial! It was the Halloween card that my guests made at the October Make and Take. Take a look.

  • Stamps: Wicked Cool
  • Card Stock: Basic Gray, Rich Razzleberry, So Saffron, Pumpkin Pie, Lucky Limeade, Basic Black
  • Ink: Basic Gray, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black
  • Accessories: Window Frames Framelits, Beautiful Butterflies Die, 2-1/2” Circle Punch, Small Oval Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Paper Snips, 1/2” Circle Punch, Stampin’ Dimensionals, Glue Dots

Here’s a tutorial for you so you can create a card with a window:
1. Cut a piece of Basic Gray card stock 4-1/4” x 8-1/2” and score it at 4-1/4”.
2. Cut a piece of Rich Razzleberry card stock 4-1/8” x 4-1/8”.
3. Stamp the bats from Wicked Cool all over the Rich Razzleberry card stock in Basic Gray ink.

4. Cut out the larger window with the 3rd from smallest Window Frame framelit. Make sure the framelit is centered on the stamped Rich Razzleberry card stock.

You can use a Post-It note to hold the die in place while you run it through the machine. Set aside the center piece of card stock.

5. Adhere the outside Rich Razzleberry piece onto the card front.

7. Cut out the smaller window with the 2nd smallest Window Frame framelit. Center the framelit inside the Rich Razzleberry window.

You can use a Post-It note to hold the die in place while you run it through the machine.

7. Sponge around the inside of the window with Basic Gray ink.

8. Use the 2-1/2” Circle Punch on a scrap of So Saffron card stock. Sponge around the edges of the circle with Pumpkin Pie ink. Stamp the greeting from Wicked Cool onto the bottom of the circle in Basic Black ink. Adhere the circle onto the center piece from the Rich Razzleberry card stock with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

9. Cut a piece of basic Black card stock 2” x 2-1/2”. Run this through the Big Shot on the Beautiful Butterflies die to cut out the smallest butterfly.

10. Fold the butterfly in half.

11. Punch the sides of the wings with a 1/2” circle punch several times along the edge of the wing.

12. Unfold the butterfly. Now you have a bat!

13. Adhere the bat onto the So Saffron circle with a Glue Dot. Adhere the circle with the bat onto the piece of Stamped Rich Razzleberry card stock that you cut out of the center in step 4.

14. To adhere the bat panel inside the card with it centered in the window do the following: apply glue onto the backside of the Rich Razzleberry window frame. Hold your card front in your hand with back open. Hold the window frame behind the card front so the circle is centered in the window frame.

15. Keep the window frame in place while you close the back of the card with your other hand. Press in place really well.

16. Apply Silver Dazzling Details around the Rich Razzleberry window frame.

17. Make your pumpkin. Use the 1” Circle Punch three times on a scrap of Pumpkin Pie card stock. Sponge the edges of all three circles with Pumpkin Pie ink.

18. Use 2-Way Glue Pen to adhere two circles behind one circle. Cut a small strip of Lucky Limeade card stock and adhere it behind the pumpkin for the stem. Adhere the pumpkin onto the card front with a Stampin’ Dimensional.

Now you have an absolutely spooktacular Halloween card!
